I have to write my own bio, I guess. Unfortunately that rules out the cool third-person “Born on a mountain and raised by goats, MC Assassin fashioned his first microphone out of human bones and catfish whiskers” or whatever.

So I’m thinking, if someone asked me who is MC Assassin? Besides that jerk in the picture on the right? Well I tell you…

Long long ago, in a small little villag… HOLD UP nah, nah, nah, dude. The short and sweet shit.

OK

I’ve been a D&B MC professionally since 2000 when I began MCing for Loaded Dice events, namely, the DJ Fierce event. I had MC’d at raves before this but they don’t count because I had to pay for my crew t-shirt.

In 2001 I won my first PDMA Dance Music Award as Best MC, and I continued to win every year until 2007 when one of my good mates and personal favourite MCs, MC Xsessiv, toppled me from my bar stool and took out the award. Fucken good on him I reckon. Take out the old fart, Davo, that’s the way mate. Although, I won it again in 2011.

In 2004 I became Australia’s first international MC when Asia Pacific promoters decided it was better to go cheap, so I toured with Teebee, Dieselboy and Bad Company through Asia. Had a good run there and decided it was time to make some music instead of bumming around the microphone all the time like a scallywag.

So I can’t remember how, possibly because I was drunk, but I ended up in the studio with one of Australia’s primo DJ/Producers, Greg Packer. We made Landslide, which Bailey promptly plugged all over BBC1′s 1Xtra in London, yoinked us Tune Of The Month in Knowledge Magazine, Reached Number #5 on the Nu-urban D&B Charts and convinced a family of rabbits to become DJs.

After this success we knew we had to continue, so we made 3 more tunes that sucked balls.

Not to be outdone, we also made Ragganinja which came out on Cymbalism and made it to an X-Box game, Landslide VIP for Jerona Dubs and Supernatural on the Jerona Fruits Global Sessions EP. These were nice and we enjoyed many a singalong to them. Today we have over 20 releases both together and as solo artists (yeah I can use Massive too) and have had lots of top 10 Beatport and TrackItDown chart toppers. Fuck yeah, good work, us!

The rest, as they say, is a worn out cliche so I won’t use it.
